This safari is designed for travellers who want the excitement of a Dubai desert safari without returning to the city after the evening programme.

Your experience begins with dune bashing and sandboarding before continuing to Al Khayma Camp for camel riding, traditional activities, dinner and entertainment. Once the evening programme ends, the desert becomes quieter and the experience continues with stargazing and an overnight stay.

The following morning brings another side of the desert with a sunrise camel trek and Arabic breakfast before your return transfer.

Dune Bashing & Sandboarding

Start your desert adventure with approximately 30–45 minutes of 4x4 dune bashing. Travel across the dunes with an experienced safari driver before stopping for sandboarding and desert views.

Guests looking for additional adventure can also choose an optional quad bike or dune buggy experience.

Evening at Al Khayma Desert Camp

After the desert activities, continue to Al Khayma Camp for the evening experience.

Enjoy Arabic Gahwa and Gaymat on arrival before taking part in camel riding and selected traditional camp activities. Henna painting, Shisha and a falcon experience add to the evening before dinner and entertainment begin.

Dinner & Desert Entertainment

Dinner is an important part of the overnight experience. Enjoy a buffet featuring Emirati, Moroccan and Arabian cuisines, with a selection of dishes suitable for different tastes.

The evening entertainment programme includes traditional and live performances before the camp gradually settles into the quieter nighttime experience.

Stargazing in the Dubai Desert

Once the evening entertainment is over, enjoy the calmer atmosphere of the desert after dark.

A telescope-assisted stargazing session gives you time to look at the night sky before retiring to your tent. It is one of the experiences that makes an overnight safari different from a standard evening desert safari.

 Sleep in a Private Air-Conditioned Desert Tent

Spend the night at Al Khayma Camp in a private air-conditioned tent.

Your overnight facilities include Wi-Fi, shower access, toiletries, towels and slippers. Seasonal fruit, Arabic Rogag bread and Chai are also provided as part of the overnight experience.

Sunrise Camel Trek & Arabic Breakfast

Wake up early to experience the desert at sunrise.

Take a camel trek across the dunes as the morning light changes the desert landscape. Afterwards, return to the camp and enjoy a traditional Arabic breakfast before starting your journey back.

Pickup, Timings & Duration

The complete Desert Safari with Night Stay takes approximately 16–17 hours, beginning in the afternoon and finishing the following morning.

Pickup is available from hotels in Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman, with pickup generally taking place in the afternoon. Exact pickup and return timings can vary depending on your location, season, weather and operating schedule.

Wear comfortable clothing suitable for outdoor desert activities and comfortable footwear for walking on sand. During the cooler months, bring warmer clothing for the night and early morning.
