Peak Season

• November: The desert is at its best in these months. The days are pleasant with a temperature of 15-30 °C. Plan your visit around this month and enjoy the dunes in the ideal environment. To watch the magnificent sunrise, you can visit around 6:20 AM, and for the sunsets, around 5:30 PM.   
• December: The desert terrain becomes colder around this month. The temperature ranges between 12–23°C in the last month of the year. Get to watch the desert wildlife around this time. For the sunrise, you can go around 6:45 AM and for the sunsets around 5:30 PM.
• January: As the winter starts to peak with temperatures between 14–24°C, you can visit to see the reserved side of the desert. Watch the flora and fauna change with the decreasing temperatures. Witness the best sunrise at around 7:00 AM and the shining sunsets at around 5:45 PM.
• February: The winter breaks around this time, and days again start to be longer. The temperature becomes a little warmer and ranges between 16 and 26°C. To see the bright orange light in the morning as the sun rises, visit around 6:45 AM and for the sunsets, around 6:05 PM.
• March: The temperature becomes very pleasant and mixes with humidity around this time of the year. You can enjoy the terrains with a comfortable temperature of 18–29°C. To watch the sun rise, visit around 6:20 AM and for the evening golden glow of sunset, visit the desert at 6:20 PM.

Off-Peak Season

• April: The weather is warm but comfortable, making early evening safaris enjoyable. Golden sunsets create stunning photo opportunities over the dunes. Tourist numbers are lower, giving a more relaxed and peaceful experience.
• May: Fewer visitors in the desert allow for a quieter and more personal safari adventure. Safari operators often provide off-season discounts or package deals. The evenings are cooler, perfect for dinner and cultural performances under the stars.
• June: The desert is exceptionally serene, ideal for travellers seeking privacy and exclusivity. Sunrise or sunset drives are particularly magical against the golden sands. Smaller groups mean more attentive service at camps and activities.
• July: Though it’s one of the hottest months, early morning and late evening schedules keep experiences comfortable. Lower crowds ensure a more intimate and relaxed safari. Special rates and private upgrades are more readily available.
• August: Evening temperatures drop quickly, making desert dinners surprisingly pleasant. The hazy summer skies enhance sunset colours for spectacular photos. Cultural shows and performances feel more personal with smaller audiences.
• September: The heat begins to soften, offering a more comfortable desert experience. Fewer tourists still allow for private and exclusive safari activities. Packages are still available at attractive off-peak pricing before the peak season begins.
• October: Evenings are cooler and more enjoyable, ideal for nature drives, camel rides, and outdoor dinners. The crowds have not yet returned, maintaining a peaceful ambience. Sunset and stargazing opportunities are at their best in this transitional month.

Clothing

• Go For Breathable & Lightweight Material: Make sure that you choose clothes made out of breathable and lightweight material like cotton and linen. Not only are these materials breathable, but they also absorb sweat very quickly. 
• Full coverage: Ensure that your clothes cover your body, as it is deemed disrespectful to wear anything revealing. Your clothes should cover your shoulders and legs. 
• Comfortable Bottoms: Loose joggers, maxi dresses, palazzos, and peasant trousers are an ideal choice. 
• Evening Layering: Ensure that you carry a light jacket or a shawl for the evening desert safaris as the temperature drops in the evenings. 

Footwear & Accessories

• Footwear: Make sure that you opt for sneakers, desert boots, or hiking boots instead of flip flops, as the hot sand might get into your feet and make your experience very uncomfortable. Also, avoid wearing sandals, heels, wedges, or anything with open-toed shoes.

• Dress comfortably: While you are preparing for the desert safari, make sure you pack and wear light and breathable clothing during the day, as the days are comparatively hotter. Try to carry a jacket or shawl as the nights are cooler. Also, it is advised that you wear comfortable shoes. 
• Don’t forget to carry any essentials: Make sure that you carry sunglasses, sunscreen and a hat to protect against the desert sun.
• Stay hydrated: Although water bottles are provided, you can also carry a reusable bottle with you to avoid getting dehydrated. 
• Photography gear: don’t forget to carry your camera, tripod and extra batteries as this desert offers some of the most stunning photography opportunities. 
• Respect the wildlife and nature: stay on the designated paths and make sure that you do not disturb any wildlife or the plants.

Stay Hydrated
