The Documents Required for Oman Visa
Anyone who has been residing in the UAE for at least 6 months won’t need any Oman-based sponsor to have his/her visa approved. They’ll need to furnish the following documents to get their visas.
- A passport that’s valid
- Photographs were taken recently
Things to Note
- Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the day you plan to arrive in Oman
- Only those below 21 years of age can apply for the joint family visa application
- Residents of the UAE or the GCC countries can travel with visa type 29A in case they pursue any of the approved professions and are the main visitor or with the visa type 29B if they are traveling with the main visitor
Requirements for a Visa to Oman for UAE Residents Applying Online
An online portal has been introduced recently by the authorities to smoothen the process of applying for a visa to Oman making things more convenient for the public. Here’s what applicants are required to do-
- Log into Oman’s e-Visa website after registering
- Fill out the online application form and mention details of the passport, the visa and the sponsor if applicable
- Take a printout of the form
- Visit the nearest Royal Oman Police Visa Office with the form and supporting documents
The Fee
For an unsponsored tourist visa to Oman that allows the holder to stay for 30 days, the approximate fee is AED 50. The visa remains valid till a month after the application has been approved.
Other Points to Note
Residents of the UAE can also apply for a visa by submitting a paper application form with the authorities at the border. The visas are valid for 30 days with an option for an extension of another 30 days. A visa application form usually needs around 4 working days to get approved even though the time needed may vary from case to case.
